About Michelle Ealey

Michelle Ealey profile photo
I’ve been a geek since before I knew what the word meant. I was playing Atari before I was five, and television taught me how to read. From my father I got my love of science fiction and fantasy (the Holy Trinity in my house was Asimov, Herbert and Tolkien), and I learned how to appreciate good stories in any form from my mother. Writing has been a passion of mine since I was a teen. For the past ten years, I’ve been a science teacher.
Favorites: Books: 'Frankenstein,' 'The Lord of the Rings,' and anything by Octavia E. Butler. TV Shows: 'The X-Files,' all 'Star Trek,' 'The Vampire Diaries,' 'Fringe,' and 'Quantum Leap.' I have many more. I love TV. Films: 'Star Trek,' '2001: A Space Odyssey,' and 'Metropolis.' Video Games: 'The Legend of Zelda,' The 'Mass Effect' and 'Dragon Age' franchises, 'Bastion,' and 'Skyrim'. On Xbox, I'm Chelle1800; on Steam, I'm Chelle. In SWTOR, I'm Devlora, a Sith Sorcerer on the Mind Trick server.

The thought of being an actual zombie, a hulking piece of lumbering dead flesh, does not appeal to me, but the idea of being a fictional zombie does. I learned about the 1000 Zombies art project on Google+ (yes, people are using G+) from a person in one of my circles. Byron Rempel...
