About Haleigh Williams

1995: Slumber Party Birthday celebration is where we lay our scene. What started as an average night became the start of a love so great, it would forever change the course of one girls life forever. That girl, was Haleigh Williams. One would think that showing a horror film at a child’s birthday party would be a bad idea, but that 11 year old girl was adamant about watching one on her special night. The film was Poltergeist, and even though it was the scariest thing she had ever seen and almost peed her pants, she knew that this was the start of a beautiful friendship. That love grew and continues to this day, as she watches, reads and geeks-out over all things sci-fi and horror. She has extensive escape plans if the zombie apocalypse should ever hit and always checks behind the shower curtain for serial killers.
Favorites: Event Horizon, The Shinning, Hellraiser, Ginger Snaps, all Eli Roth films, Evil Dead, Zombieland, Roswell, Halloween, The Exorcist, Battle Royale, The Thing, American Horror Story, Teeth, Silent Hill, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Thirst, Aliens, Resident Evil, Old Boy, From Dusk Till Dawn, Tim Burton, Sleepaway Camp, Grindhouse, Enders Game, Rec 3, Buffy, Friday the 13th, Twin Peaks, Shaun of the Dead, and of course the film that started it all, Poltergeist.

As promised in last week’s article, I’m going to start coming in hot with the recaps and spoilers from here on out. I’ve given you all sufficient amount […]

  • OMFG If You’re Not Watching ‘Scream Queens’ Something Is Seriously Wrong With You

    Posted Saturday, October 3rd, 2015 12:00 pm GMT -4

As the resident Mistress of Horror here at ScienceFiction.com, this may not come as a shock, but I’m a serious die hard fan of all things Ryan Murphy (well maybe not ‘Glee’ but I guess you can’t win em’ all). When this humble author of the ‘American Horror Story’ recaps (those will be coming in hot […]

Murder is so in this year, you guys. I regret nothing. For those of you […]

  • NBC’s ‘Hannibal’ Still Desperately Seeking New Home

    Posted Wednesday, July 8th, 2015 10:00 pm GMT -4

O ‘Hannibal’, ‘Hannibal’, wherefore out thou ‘Hannibal‘!? After NBC cancelled Bryan Fuller’s series (based on the books of Thomas Harris), after only three gloriously gory seasons, it’s still now desperately seeking a new home. Unfortunately 2 weeks have gone by since it’s gotten the ax, and already Netflix and Amazon have passed on picking up […]

  • Movie Review: ‘Poltergeist’

    Posted Saturday, May 23rd, 2015 12:00 pm GMT -4

Last night something happened. I, in my mid-to-sort-of adult life, got to bear witness to a re-make of one of my all time favorite movies, ‘Poltergeist.’ I mean OF ALL TIME. My love for this film is described in my freaking ScienceFiction.com profile for crying out loud. That being said, re-makes are a tough bag […]

    Posted Friday, December 12th, 2014 04:13 pm GMT -4

Look deep into my crystal ball for this week’s installment of ‘American Horror Story: Freak Show’! We open on that suave lady killer, Mr. Dandy Mott. He’s getting his fortune read by ‘oh-please-wont-you-go-away-for-the-love-of-god’ Maggie Esmeralda. Being the phony that she is, she sees nothing in that crystal ball of hers; not the Avon lady that […]

Tests. It seems all ‘American Horror Story: Freak Show’ does this season is test its gentle viewers.  For this viewer, this week’s episode ‘Test of Strength’ pushed the boundaries of my sanity and emotional stability. First, let’s address the staggering genius of Jimmy’s ‘Nirvana’ cover, ‘Come as You Are.’ Such a poignant selection for this […]

  • TV Recap: ‘American Horror Story: Freak Show – Bullseye’

    Posted Thursday, November 13th, 2014 09:55 pm GMT -4

Welcome back viewers to this week’s installment of ‘American Horror Story: Freak Show – ‘Bullseye.’ I hate to say it, but the title of this episode is misleading, but not in the way you may think. Personally this episode was FAR from hitting the “bullseye” in terms of content and overall pacing that we normally […]
