Ben F. Silverio received a degree from Drexel University in the Screenwriting and Playwriting Program with a minor in Television Production. While at Drexel, Ben co-founded and co-hosted a film review show called The Pretentious Film Majors, which has evolved into a multi-format form of entertainment including blogs, podcasts on iTunes, articles in the school paper, and a potential tv show. Now armed with an extremely expensive piece of paper, Ben can begin climbing the treacherous ladder of the entertainment industry, which he hopes to do while streaming WWE wrestling matches, reading Marvel comics, and blogging about the excessive amount of movies and tv shows that he watches, all on the iPhone that is permanently attached to his hand.

This week, four low-resolution clips from ‘The Amazing Spider-Man’ hit the web, offering short glimpses into the world that director Marc Webb created for the web-slinger’s reboot. Company wide crossovers are starting to be an annual thing at Marvel. Some have been phenomenal, like ‘Civil War’, and others have been not so great, like ‘Fear Itself’. Since they’re fairly commonplace in this day and age, we’ve come to realize that the first issue means everything. I remember picking up ‘Fear Itself’ last […]

We may have a bigger problem than President Snow in the land of Panem. With a bonafide hit on his hands, one would think that it’s a no-brainer that ‘The Hunger Games’ writer/director Gary Ross would return for a sequel alongside his stars Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson, and Liam Hemsworth despite not being contractually obligated […]
