Ben F. Silverio received a degree from Drexel University in the Screenwriting and Playwriting Program with a minor in Television Production. While at Drexel, Ben co-founded and co-hosted a film review show called The Pretentious Film Majors, which has evolved into a multi-format form of entertainment including blogs, podcasts on iTunes, articles in the school paper, and a potential tv show. Now armed with an extremely expensive piece of paper, Ben can begin climbing the treacherous ladder of the entertainment industry, which he hopes to do while streaming WWE wrestling matches, reading Marvel comics, and blogging about the excessive amount of movies and tv shows that he watches, all on the iPhone that is permanently attached to his hand.

Who would have thought that we would live in a world where an Ant-Man movie was better than an Avengers movie? Despite both having their flaws (with ‘Avengers: Age of Ultron’ arguably having bigger ones), Peyton Reed’s Phase Two finale just ended up being more fun. And based on some recent comments from the man […]

While True Believers around the world largely enjoyed it, there are certainly a few things worth criticizing in ‘Avengers: Age of Ultron.’ From bigger problems like plot holes to slightly smaller ones like not enough James Spader, Joss Whedon’s second outing with Earth’s Mightiest Heroes didn’t match up to his first go in a few ways. […]

Despite having low expectations initially due to the last few flops in the franchise, ‘X-Men: Days of Future Past’ turned out to be one of my favorite films of 2014. The epic Marvel mutant movie saw Bryan Singer return to the director’s chair and he brought some of his original cast from 2000 with him. […]

Though they didn’t bring any new footage from the movie to San Diego Comic-Con, the cast and crew of ;Star Wars: The Force Awakens’ still pulled the curtain back on the next adventure from a galaxy far, far away thanks to an amazing behind the scenes reel. However, a toy company may have recently jumped the […]

When Comic-Con International invades San Diego every year, the city is fully enveloped by the massive pop culture convention. It has gotten to the point that panels and meet-ups have spilled out beyond the convention center campus to places like the surrounding bars or hotels and even PetCo Field. In recent years, some of the […]

Since Bryan Singer has returned to the helm of 20th Century Fox’s X-Men film franchise, he’s been cleaning things up left and right. Thanks to ‘X-Men: Days of Future Past’, the filmmaker put the Marvel mutant movies back on track with his epic time-traveling adventure. He’s even tweaking it even more with the recently released […]

Before J.J. At last year’s New York Comic Con, Titan Comics announced plans to expand their line of ‘Doctor Who’ comics. During 20th Century Fox’s Hall H panel at this year’s San Diego Comic-Con, some major bombs were dropped. Arguably the biggest one was the ‘Deadpool’ trailer, but there was some juicy new information about Bryan Singer’s ‘X-Men: Apocalypse’ also. Prior to the panel, the director revealed the first look at Oscar Isaac as En Sabah Nur […]

Despite ‘Gotham’ airing on Fox and ‘Supergirl’ appearing on CBS later this year, The CW has really become the hub for live-action DC Entertainment on television. It all started with ‘Arrow’ in 2012, but it soon came to include spinoffs like ‘The Flash’ and the upcoming ‘Legends of Tomorrow’. Then back in January, the network […]

Regardless of what you may have thought about the last season of ‘Arrow’ on The CW, it’s hard not to get behind Oliver Queen.
