Interesting PremiseMay 29, 2010 At full price this game fails but from the clearance bin it's worth a try. It's a Doom type shooter with off the wall visuals. Things start off with a bang with several interesting moments & backdrops but quickly become dated & repetitive. I got about 8 hours of play in before I became bored with it; will probably pop it back in someday to give it another go.

Still looks good 4 years later, 3.99 at gamestop, 2k game fun.Mar 04, 2010 I think this was really the beginning of great 2k fps games, followed now by the Bioshocks and Borderlands(also others i can't think of right now) they have rally made a name for themselves. You play as an indian named Tommy who is in love with a girl named Jennifer and is torn between his native heritage and her love. When abducted by Aliens you escape near death only to be thrown into a world of madness and sick revolting creatures to save your girls life, in space. Not that it matters since this game is 4 years old, you actually die not long after the start and come back to life with the ability to leave your human body behind and going into the spirit body as to pass through walls and to complete certain tasks. This makes the game very unique in itself though the game does remind you a lot of Dooom 3 and also Quake. Your interactiveness with the game is also cool because you actually see your hand turning things on and off, even flushing toilets, and using hand dryers! Much like Bioshock, (but remember this game came first). This game however does have its own identity especially when it comes to being vile, the creatures are very liquidy and gross looking if that make sense, in other words the outer parts of there bodies are meat if that tells you anything. Reminds you a lot of something Clive Barker would come out with even sicker! There are large spores that give you energy, and also ones that spit out body parts all over the place, so yes this game is definitely for adults only, and there is a lot of fowl language as well, but a lot of it is very humorous. The weapons and shooting are spot on, and also the ability to walk on the ceiling and walls using gravity rails can make you wanna throw up yet makes it a lot of fun especially when killing enemies and watching them fall UP, or fly down. So if you like a lot of the pre-mentioned titles you'll love this game, pick it up used at GS for 3.99 or new still, for 9.99. Definitely has NOT lost its touch in the last 4 years, i re bought it just yesterday to try it again.
Note: I still laugh at the beginning where you walk into the womens bathroom and looks into the toilet and says AWW GROSS!! Also he says pffft sugar and spice, my A@%. HA Great.
It's a great game as long as you remember when it came out.Dec 21, 2009 The game is a nice twist from your casual shooter, even more then you might think, it has a very nice environment (from a old indian/western bar to a crazy spaceship even all the surface of a planet the size of a softball (you are proportional to the size of the planet obviously)), some crazy type weapons ranging from your green bug thing that you rip a leg of off to use as a grenade to a rifle that has a alien eyeball that pops out of the gun so you can zoom in. The games single player is always pretty fun and can last quite a while depending on what difficulty you play on, and multiplayer may not be what it used to be is still really fun when you find some people. Just remember that this game came out years ago around the launch of the xbox so as long as your not trying to compare it to all the recent games then you may actually have some fun with this game. Worth the price.

BoringDec 20, 2009 Puzzle after puzzle after puzzle with very little action or story. The graphics are from the last century and still too much for my xbox from time to time. Most boring game ever. I usually play all games to the end, but this one I had to stop in the middle to avoid death from boredom.
Fun gameDec 17, 2009 I picked this game up on the cheap at a local video store. I wasn't expecting much going in, but was pleasantly surprised. The story for this game is good and draws some comparisons to Doom (the engine they modified to build this game) and Halo. The graphics look a little dated today, but the gameplay is solid enough to make up for that. Some of the boss battles are sort of a throwback with bars to show when you're wearing a guy down which is nice. My only beef, outside of graphics which isn't much since the game was in development for years, is that some of the later stuff requires reading the manual or looking things up online. There are some maze elements as well which aren't usually too hard to figure out and add a bit of puzzle element to the game. Overall, this game is well worth it if you can find it on the cheap and like a good FPS story to play through. You can rack up close to 700 chivos as well just by competing the story on the normal difficulty which is nice. Getting the rest might be a little hard, I'm not sure. I didn't try the online mode.
Oh, and a note to those who it may concern. This game is Mature for a reason. There is quite a bit of swearing and a bit of nudity (alien breasts) in the game. It's nothing overly offensive in my view, but be warned.
