Supernatural: It's "The Beginning Of The End" In The Synopsis For The Final Season Premiere

Fans of ‘Supernatural’ have all been saddened to know that the upcoming fifteenth season would be our final adventure with Sam and Dean, but now we’re starting to know what to expect from it. The CW has released the official synopsis of “Back to the Future,” the final season opener. While the description doesn’t give too much away, there are a couple of hints as to what we can expect.

First up, we’ll be getting a spotlight on what happened in last season’s finale after the zombie apocalypse which God had let loose on Earth.

The synopsis for “Back to the Future” is below:

THE BEGINNING OF THE END – Picking up here we left off last season, Sam (Jared Padalecki), Dean (Jensen Ackles) and Castiel (Misha Collins) are left to defend the world after all the souls in hell have been released and are back on Earth and free to kill again.
John Showalter directed the episode written by Andrew Dabb.

So there aren’t any hints as to what we can expect but showrunner Andrew Dabb did previously share that “God’s been pulling the strings behind the scenes, and now Sam and Dean are really trying to break free for the first time in their lives.” We’ll have to see what that means for their lives and time spent hunting demons.

While this is the final season, there is a reason to hold out hope that this won’t be the end of the tale. Ackles has previously stated that while nothing is currently in the works about a revival or spinoff that he is “open to having a conversation in the future”.
