Although Netflix has released photos of the cast of ‘The Witcher’ including Henry Cavill as silver-haired monster hunter Geralt, Anya Chalotra as sorcerer Yennefer, and the mysterious Ciri, played by Freya Allan, fans have been miffed that one key character has been omitted– Roach, Geralt’s steed.

But Netflix (or rather NX, the group dedicated to genre programming) has heard the outcry and has released an image of Geralt riding Roach on Twitter:

In the world of The Witcher, The Continent is a fantasy land filled with demons from an alternate dimension. Enter The Witchers, a breed of demon killers. In the games, Geralt named all of his horses Roach, though he prefers mares. It’s in the third game where there’s only one horse… and he’s such a good horse.

Cavill shared the same image on Facebook, with the caption:

“The road is long to San Diego. The good news is, on her worst day, Roach beats the company of Men, Elves, Gnomes and even Dwarves.  She’s not always easy, but she knows more than most and cares just enough to be the only kind of company worth enjoying.”

Obviously, based on Cavill’s comments, ‘The Witcher’ is headed to San Diego Comic-Con this weekend.
