Samuel L Jackson Avengers: Endgame Nick Fury Disney+

Nick Fury knows ALL the secrets of the Marvel Universe, but keep in mind that Samuel L. Jackson is just an actor playing that role in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.  The movies are always shrouded in mystery, and Jackson wants it to be clear that he isn’t privy to any of them!

Speaking to Games Radar, he was asked about the rumors that Fury would headline his own series on Disney+.  After all, the service is planning to bring many of the characters from the successful movie franchise to the small screen in their own series (or miniseries, as it seems is more accurate), including Loki, Vision and Scarlet Witch, Winter Soldier and Falcon, and maybe Rocket and Groot.  With his rich history as Marvel’s top secret agent, Nick Fury could easily support his own free-standing adventure.  But according to Jackson, any rumors of a ‘Fury’ series on Disney+ are just chatter, although he joked, “Oh, it’s gotta be true then!”

He then answered:

“Nobody’s asked me yet, but we’ll see.”

As of right now, only ‘Loki’ and ‘Vision and Scarlet Witch’ look to be a done deal, when it comes to the Disney+ shows, but ‘Winter Soldier and Falcon’ also seems likely.  Some other names that have been mentioned as possibly coming to Disney+ are ‘Lady Sif’, ‘Gamora and Nebula’ and ‘Hawkeye’, but those are STRICTLY rumors, so don’t bank on them actually getting made.  (Although anything is possible.)

Beyond these future endeavors, does Jackson know anything else, perhaps about a project that is much closer to release?

“I don’t know anything about Avengers: Endgame.”

For now, fans can at least look forward to seeing a digitally de-aged Nick Fury in ‘Captain Marvel’ in theaters now.  The modern-day Fury will also return in ‘Spider-Man: Far From Home’.  He may or may not be in ‘Avengers: Endgame’, in theaters on April 26.

Would you like to see Nick Fury in his own limited series on Disney+?
