Avengers: Endgame

The rumors about what will go down in ‘Avengers: Endgame’ have been flying! The newest of these is that the upcoming film will be so long, it will have an intermission in the middle! Think the early 2000s when we had to switch to the next VHS to finish ‘Titanic!’

Allegedly, Marvel is considering an intermission for ‘Endgame’ because the film is currently looking at runtime of three hours. Social media has only fueled the fire, with the rumor being sent out on Twitter.

Marvel has never been one to spend too much time on the cutting room floor. ‘Avengers: Infinity War’ clocked in at a cool two hours and forty minutes long. While the plot moved along quickly, the film definitely felt long. So, is there really a need for 20 more minutes of superhero action? Maybe, according to the Russo Brothers.

The directors have allegedly confirmed the length of the film, which would make it the longest of the Marvel films. During an interview about ‘Endgame,’ the brothers explained the reason for the length, saying:

“When you have to tell a really complicated story and you want strong emotional moments with the characters, it just requires a certain amount of real estate. This one, in particular, feels like three hours worth of real estate.”
