Robert and Michelle King will likely forever be known for their smashing success with ‘The Good Wife’ and now CBS has ordered a pilot from the pair for a new series titled ‘Evil.’ The duo previously tried their hands at a horror-comedy titled ‘BrainDead’ which ran for a 13-episode season on the same network, but it only ended up running for a single season instead of the four seasons that they had planned out.

While the two have been busy working on the third season of ‘The Good Fight,’ which is their ‘The Good Wife’ spinoff series, that apparently hasn’t kept them from brainstorming new ideas!

In ‘Evil’ we will see “the battle between science and religion” play out as “a skeptical female clinical psychologist who joins a priest-in-training and a blue-collar contractor as they investigate extraordinary occurrences.” Much like ‘The X-Files‘ and many other ideas out them we’ll “see if there’s a scientific explanation or if something truly supernatural is at work” in these demonic possessions and supposed miracles which are occurring.

Joining the Kings in production will be Liz Glotzer as an Executive Producer who has also worked with the pair on both ‘BrainDead’ and ‘The Good Fight.’

No word on casting or when we might see the pilot being put into production, but CBS has had a mostly successful venture with these two creators so far so it is unlikely that it won’t be picked up with a full series order.

It also isn’t clear if this is a series which will end up on the main network or the CBS All Access streaming service.
