HBO doesn’t want us to see too much of what happens in Winter before ‘Game of Thrones‘ returns this April, but we do know that Winterfell will be forfeit when the show returns! The network has released a hodgepodge of clips from their upcoming 2019 seasons and part of what is briefly shown from George R.R. Martin‘s masterpiece is Sophie Turner’s Sansa Stark yielding Winterfell to Emilia Clarke’s Daenerys Targaryen! All of this is happening while fan-favorite Kit Harington’s Jon Snow appears to be looking on.
One would suspect it was his choice which prompted this and when Sansa states that “Winterfell is yours, your grace” it is hard to tell how happy she is about the whole situation. Without Littlefinger’s manipulations trying to set Sansa against the rest of the Starks, one has to hope we won’t see any real family rivalry rearing its ugly head in the upcoming season when there are larger fish to fry. Or, undead dragons as the case may be.

As you can tell from the video, we also have a shot of Gwendoline Christie’s Brienne of Tarth and Iain Glen’s Ser Jorah Mormont here though the two don’t have any active lines at this time. I’m sure it won’t be long until Nikolaj Coster-Waldau’s Jaime Lannister appears to deliver the bad news that his sister is going to be betraying them all. Of course, it is likely that Tyrion already knows this from the secretive meeting he had with Cersei.
