The Witches From Coven Will Return To American Horror Story

‘American Horror Story’ fans will see the return of their favorite coven of spooky ladies, according to Ryan Murphy.

The return of the witches from ‘Coven’ for the cross-over season ‘Apocalypse,’ was a hit with fans. Murphy, who serves as co-creator for the series, announced this week that the ladies of Miss Robichaux’s Academy will return for a future season.

While celebrating at his Hollywood Walk of Fame ceremony, Murphy was asked about the ‘Coven’ girls and said:

“The witches will be back. Not next season, but we have something really fun planned.”

‘American Horror Story: Apocalypse’ featured Coven witches in their battle against the Antichrist (Cody Fern). The storyline had series regular Sarah Paulson playing three characters, one being Supreme Cordelia Goode. She was entrenched in a battle to save her coven, played by Emma Roberts, Taissa Farmiga, Frances Conroy, Gabourey Sidibe, Lily Rabe, and Billie Lourd as newcomer witch Mallory.

Fans of the show will remember that ‘Apocalypse’ ended with a cliffhanger, with Lourd’s character going back in time to prevent the end of the world by running over the antichrist with her car. But, Timothy and Emily, the two who had been chosen for the Outpost 3 bunker based on their genetic makeup, ended up meeting and perhaps making another evil spawn.

Based on how the season ended, it is not unrealistic to think that the witches could be facing another battle somewhere down the line.

Murphy has been careful to keep everything for ‘American Horror Story’ Season 9 under wraps. When asked about what fans could expect, he said:

“I can’t say what it is. I’m going to this luncheon, and many of the ‘Horror Story’ actors are there, and I’m gonna tell them for the first time. So I have to tell them first.”
