Will Kit Harington Return For 'Game Of Thrones' Spinoff? "Not On Your Life."

Jon Snow? More like Jon No! Kit Harington, who plays Snow in the popular epic drama ‘Game of Thrones,’ has said he has no interest in appearing in any spinoffs of the show.

Harington was promoting his play ‘True West,’ which is playing in London, when he was asked by the BBC if he would return to the Seven Kingdoms in any of the planned ‘Game of Thrones’ spinoffs.

His answer was very frank. Harington said:

“Would I want to go back and do more? Not on your life…If, like me, you go all the way back to the pilot of ‘Game of Thrones,’ that’s almost 10 years of your life. That’s really unusual in an actor’s career. It was a huge, emotional upheaval leaving that family.”

According to the interviewer, he asked:

“What if [Harington] were asked to film a single scene, maybe as an ancestor of Jon Snow? His answer remains an unequivocal no.”

Harington conceded that filming his last episodes did make him emotional, but not enough to bring him back apparently. He said:

“It was emotional to leave the job, definitely. But I wouldn’t say I was sad.”

HBO is moving forward with a pilot for a ‘‘Game of Thrones’ prequel series by creator George R.R. Martin and showrunner Jane Goldman with or without Harington. The series will take place roughly 5,000 years before the events of ‘Game of Thrones.’ Additionally, four more prequels have been developed, but pilots have yet to be planned.

‘Game of Thrones’ will air its last six episodes in April on HBO.
