The folks at Marvel Animation are nothing if not ambitious. While their live action counterparts steer the Marvel Cinematic Universe to the culmination of a story ten years in the making, Marvel Animation is introducing audiences to a new generation of heroes, in the form of characters like Ms. Marvel, Squirrel Girl, Patriot, and others.
While at New York Comic Con, we had the chance to speak with several of the ‘Marvel Rising’ cast and crew. Among them was Marvel’s senior VP of character development and ‘Rising’ co-executive producer Sana Amanat. With Amanat, we discussed the show’s unmistakable emphasis on representation, what the future holds for ‘Marvel Rising’, and more.
