Lance Reddick, who appeared as Papa Legba on ‘American Horror Story: Apocalypse’ has joined the cast of ‘Godzilla Vs. Kong’, which is currently filming.  His role is currently unknown.

He joins an already massive cast which includes Demián Bichir, Millie Bobby Brown, Kyle Chandler, Julian Dennison, Eiza González, Rebecca Hall, Brian Tyree Henry, Jessica Henwick, Shun Oguri, Alexander Skarsgård, and Ziyi Zhang.  Danai Gurira is rumored to be in the film, but that hasn’t been made official.  Only the names of Brown’s and Chandler’s characters are known since they are continuing their roles over from ‘Godzilla: King of Monsters’.  Brown’s character is named Madison Russell while Chandler plays her father Mark.

Adam Wingard (‘Death Note’) is directing, with a script by Terry Rossio (‘Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales’).

Here is the film’s synopsis:

In a time when monsters walk the Earth, humanity’s fight for its future sets Godzilla and Kong on a collision course that will see the two most powerful forces of nature on the planet collide in a spectacular battle for the ages. As Monarch embarks on a perilous mission into uncharted terrain and unearths clues to the Titans’ origins, a human conspiracy threatens to wipe the creatures, both good and bad, from the face of the earth forever.

This year alone, Reddick has appeared in four movies, the thrillers ‘Monster Party’, ‘The Domestics’, drama Canal Street’ and western ‘Little Woods’.  He is also a cast member of the Amazon series ‘Bosch’ and Comedy Central’s ‘Corporate’.  Reddick may be best recognized for his role as hotel manager Charon in the Keanu Reeves-starring ‘John Wick’ movies.  A third installment is in post-production to be released next May.

‘Godzilla Vs. Kong’ is scheduled for release about a year later on May 22, 2020.
