NECA Presents New Scares
It’s Halloween this week, so it only seems natural that NECA Toys, the masters of horror collectibles, would have some awesome new tricks and treats in store for us! This week we’ve got two new horror figures plus a massive new item that is sure to scare the hell out of your bank account!
From the latest film in the ‘The Conjuring’ franchise, ‘The Nun’, comes the demon Valek! This new 8″ retro style figure is fully articulated with a real cloth outfit, and includes an alternative head so you have the option of a leering horrifying face or a scary screaming face! From The Nun, the terrifying new movie in The Conjuring Universe, the demon Valak takes action figure form!
This clothed figure is based on the demon’s manifestation as a nun and features a full fabric habit. It stands 8” tall, is fully articulated and comes with an additional interchangeable head when you want to take the horror up a level!

Speaking of recent horror, NECA is also bringing collectors a new version of their popular ‘Ultimate Pennywise’ figure from Stepehn King’s ‘It’! The new ‘Ultimate Wellhouse Pennywise’ utilizes the majority of the previous ‘Ultimate Pennywise’ figure but includes a number of alternative parts like four all new and different headsculpts and some new alternative hands! He’s expected to hit stores early next year, so check the full release from NECA below!
Ultimate Well House Pennywise 7″ Scale Figure
From the acclaimed 2017 horror film IT, drawn from the pages of Stephen King’s original novel, NECA presents Pennywise the Dancing Clown!
Based on Bill Skarsgård’s portrayal of the nightmare-inducing clown, this 7” scale figure has been painstakingly detailed to be as accurate to Pennywise’s ornate costume as possible. To recreate even more of the most terrifying scenes from the movie, this version features 4 all-new head sculpts, a fencepost that can be inserted into one of the heads, a new monster right hand, new grabbing hands, and an additional new left hand.
This edition comes in collector-friendly deluxe window box packaging with opening flap.
Last but not least, NECA has announced new information and a tentative release date of Q1 2019 for their original Street Scene Diorama! This massive new diorama playset is a generic street scene that allows you to add some real style to your figure displays or photography! The NECA Street Scene Diorama, which was previously released earlier this year as part of an SDCC ‘Ninja Turtles’ bundle, stands over 18″ tall and is over a foot deep. This new standard release version will have different paint applications than the previously released SDCC version in order to differentiate the two versions. It’s expected to retail for a whopping $119.99, but that sounds pretty worth it considering how much you’re getting here! Check out the full release from NECA below!

Beam Me Up!
Our friends at Quantum Mechanix have announced the latest figure in their 1:6th scale ‘Star Trek: The Original Series’ line with fan favorite Montgomery Scott! Along with a bevy of new images, QMX has released a good bit of new information about the figure including accessory details. As with previous releases in the line, Montgomery Scott will feature around 30 points of articulation and should stand approximately 12″ tall. Included with Montgomery Scott fans can look forward to both a Type 1 and Type 2 Phaser, a Tricorder, a Communicator, and a figure display stand. Star Trek: The Original Series – Scotty 1/6 Scale Figure
The QMx Master Series articulated figure line for Star Trek™: The Original Series (TOS) adds another member of the bridge crew with the Enterprise’s engineering “miracle worker”, Lt. Commander Montgomery Scott.
More commonly known as “Scotty,” Lt. Commander Scott was the chief engineer for the starship Enterprise’s five-year mission. This 1:6-scale figure re-creates this iconic character in exquisite detail. Standing approximately 12 inches tall, every element, from his 23rd century tunic to his custom black boots, is authentically reproduced. The original portrait sculpt of James Doohan as Scotty has an authentic, hand-painted likeness.

Equipment
Scotty has everything a good Starfleet officer needs for an away mission:
Phasers Type I & Type II: The pistol-grip type II phaser is the weapon of choice for any landing party expecting hostile aliens. The smaller Type I phaser can be removed and used separately. Both have magnets allowing them to be worn directly on the pants as they were in the 3rd season.
Communicator: This accurately styled communicator features a real metal flip-up antenna. Includes a magnet so it can attach to the pants.
Tricorder: This replica rotates open at the top and has an opening front door. Scotty can wear the tricorder over his shoulder with the leather-like strap.
Hands: A little-known fact is that the actor, James Doohan, served in the Canadian military during WWII and lost a finger off his right hand. Technically the character didn’t have a missing finger, and it was mostly hidden on the show. To honor the actor, we’ve included one hand that shows the loss of a digit.
Each figure comes with multiple hands for various Trek-like activities:
