Pet Sematary

If you were unsure about how a remake of Stephen King’s ‘Pet Sematary’ would end up, it is time to put those fears to rest. The first trailer is out for this horrifying film, and it looks like they’ve taken everything that worked from the original novel and put it front and center in the movie. While the preview images before this looked good, you couldn’t really get a feel for what directors Dennis Widmyer and Kevin Kölsch wanted to bring to the big screen. Now, we have an idea, and it is terrifying in all the right ways!

You can check out the first trailer right here:

I wasn’t a father when I first read the novel or watched the movie but now that I am the concept is twice as freaky. The story was always able to capture the fear around the thoughts of characters coming back from the dead and not being who they once were, but you can’t help but feel the new movie will embody those ideas.

Also, we have the first poster of the movie to share with you:

Based on the seminal horror novel by Stephen King, Pet Sematary follows Dr. Louis Creed (Jason Clarke), who, after relocating with his wife Rachel (Amy Seimetz) and their two young children from Boston to rural Maine, discovers a mysterious burial ground hidden deep in the woods near the family’s new home. When tragedy strikes, Louis turns to his unusual neighbor, Jud Crandall (John Lithgow), setting off a perilous chain reaction that unleashes an unfathomable evil with horrific consequences.

‘Pet Sematary’ will be rising into your local theaters on April 5th, 2019!
