The upcoming season of AMC’s ‘The Walking Dead‘ is going to be a big one with Andrew Lincoln‘s Rick Grimes leaving the series and Norman Reedus is sharing how his character handles the sheriff on his way out the door. Viewers know that the two have been through a lot already and should be brothers in arms but with how Rick handled Negan at the end of “All Out War,” it appeared the two might no longer be on the same side. Darryl Dixon was clearly not happy with how events turned out while sitting in with Maggie in the season finale and it’ll be interesting to see how this plays out in the upcoming season.

According to Reedus:

“They go through so much this season. I love the episodes where those two characters go at it. Because they don’t just go at it with their fists, they really get real with each other. And it’s the first time we’ve seen those characters really talk it out, you know? Fight it out we’ve seen, and you’re gonna see some more fighting it out. But those two characters mean so much to each other, and they really are brothers. I know everybody knows that. But there becomes a real heart-to-heart couple moments this season that I just love those episodes. They’re great.”

Knowing these two, it seems likely that at least one of these heart-to-heart moments will involve a bit of a scuffle. While Darryl and Rick have come a long way together, we know that they haven’t always seen eye to eye.
