While we’ve already seen a few teasers with Charlie Cox back as Matt Murdock in the third season of ‘Daredevil’ this is the first video where we see Vincent D’Onofrio reprising his role as Wilson Fisk, the Kingpin of Crime! The first image of Fisk alone was exciting enough, but the juxtaposition of their two scenarios is quite interesting. We see the Man Without Fear battered, broken, and giving up the remnants of his normal life to give into being Daredevil full time while Fisk is in a completely different scenario. Here, we see the Kingpin, not in prison and donning his iconic white suit which he is known to almost always be wearing in the comics that his character is inspired by.
These two are at completely different ends of the spectrum on how their lives are playing out, and it looks like they’ll be going up against one another from very different mental places. A hero toppled and a villain has risen once more.

I still can’t stress enough how excited I am to see D’Onofrio wearing the suit that Kingpin is known for. It feels that with his leaving prison here that he’ll be transitioning into a level of power that puts where he was in the first season to shame. Here, we’ll likely see the crime lord even more brutal than ever before, even though it isn’t clear yet how he will be leaving prison.
What is clear though is that Daredevil will be embracing the darkness of being a vigilante as he decides to “burn” the possessions which still tie him to the life of Matt Murdock.
