Inbar Lavi, the former star of Bravo’s ‘Imposters’, is joining Netflix’s upcoming season of ‘Lucifer’, the series that the streamer salvaged after FOX dropped it earlier this year. Lavi plays Eve… yes, that Eve, the original sinner and temptress and it would appear, based on this sneak peek photo, that she still has a thing for apples. Or at least appletinis.
Last month, when Lavi’s casting was announced, this description of her character was also released:
“After an eternity with Adam, she’s grown restless in her marriage and longs for a less predictable time when things were exciting. Naughty. Dangerous. She misses her hot and heavy first love…the charming rogue who tempted her so many years ago. That’s right, the devil himself…Lucifer.”
Eve will make her first appearance in the third episode of Season Four. Co-showrunners and executive producers Joe Henderson and Ildy Modrovich hinted:
“Eve, the original sinner herself, is back in Lucifer’s life. Does she want revenge for when he tempted her out of Eden oh so many years ago? Or something else entirely?”
Eve will reportedly create issues between Lucifer and Chloe, which is already strained after the season three finale cliffhanger, and we do know that Henderson and Modrovich are looking forward to the relaxed censorship rules at Netflix to flash a little more skin on screen than they had at FOX.
Lavi joins ‘Preacher”s Graham McTavish who is taking on the role of Father Kinley, a devout man whose mission obviously puts him at odds with Lucifer himself.
‘Lucifer’ stars Tom Ellis, Lauren German, Kevin Alejandro, D.B. Woodside, Lesley-Ann Brandt, Rachael Harris, and Aimee Garcia. The first three seasons are available to binge on Hulu. They will shift over to Netflix next year, prior to the release of the fourth season. No release date has been finalized, but it will likely arrive sometime in the fall.
