If you’ve been dying to see the survivors of ‘Zombieland’ return for ‘Zombieland 2‘ then you’re in luck as filming is slated to begin in Atlanta, GA on January 28th, 2019! Not only that, but we’ve learned that Woody Harrelson, Emma Stone, Jesse Eisenberg, and Abigail Breslin’s characters will be going up against a horde of super-zombies! We’ll see how director Ruben Fleischer delivers us a swarm of the undead in numbers surpassing anything that he was able to show us in the first outing and I can’t wait to see what they do!
While filming is slated for Atlanta, it also sounds as if there could be some parts of the movie crossing into Tennessee as well.
While we don’t know the full details of the film, it is being reported that “the group will face a new zombie threat as a new breed of zombie has developed. This new super-zombie type is faster, bigger, and stronger than the previous strain of zombies and harder to kill. These super-zombies have started grouping up into a horde going from city to city leaving a path of destruction behind them.”
This note about the super-zombies seems to fall in line with what the movie was initially rumored to be about that has yet to be confirmed or denied by the cast and crew. With that in mind, this new plot point could just be a rehash of what we’ve previously heard and not have anything to do with the movie.
How accurate this is remains to be seen, but it could give a fun chase scene to the movie or seeing our survivors needing to hide to survive.
