Runaways

If you’re a Marvel fan who doesn’t have Hulu than you’ve probably been dying to check out ‘Runaways‘ and soon you’ll have a new option to do just that! The show is set to debut on the Disney owned Freeform network as another outlet to see the series beyond the streaming service. The show is coming to the channel on Thursday, August 2nd, 2018 and will drop right after the season finale of ‘Cloak & Dagger.’

We’ve heard quite a few rumors at this point that a crossover between the two shows could be in the works and have them on the same network would eliminate issues that they’d have on pulling that off. With Freeform being a teen-focused channel, this is a good fit for the series which has a young adult audience in mind.

The show was a hit on Hulu that has already been picked up for a second season that will begin to film next month so being able to expand viewership options is a big bonus, especially if a crossover is in the works. The original comic by Brian K. Vaughan and Adrian Alphona which followed six teenagers who were forced together by their parents. Only, they’ve learned that their parents are supervillains who are flying under the radar and the kids aren’t thrilled with what they’re up to and end up running away.

The television show has made quite a few changes from the source material, and while audiences are loving it, fans of the original comics have had mixed responses to it.

If you aren’t a diehard fan of the source material though and love Marvel inspired stories, this is one you should check out.

Are you looking forward to a non-Hulu option for watching Marvel’s ‘Runaways’? Do you hope that this will pave the way for ‘Cloak and Dagger’ and the ‘Runaways’ to end up meeting on the small screen? Share your thoughts below, True Believers!
