We might not be partying on after all as news has surfaced that ‘Bill and Ted Face the Music‘ might not be happening! The news has come straight from Keanu Reeves who stated the movie that was thought to be ready to go last May could be falling through.
While out promoting his latest thriller ‘Siberia,’ Reeves was asked about the status of the third ‘Bill and Ted’ movie and shared this heartbreaking update:
“I don’t know if it’s a reality. We’ve been trying for a long time to get that film made, and it still has its challenges.”
This delay isn’t due to anything on the creative side of the film. The problem is all behind-the-scenes as Reeves explains:
“I really love the characters, and I think we have a good story to tell. Part of it is show business stuff — financing, rights, deals. Nothing creatively.”
Reeves is looking forward to portraying Theodore again and states:
“It’ll be interesting to see what that’s like. There’d be a lot about him that would be the same, I’m sure; his kind of optimistic naïveté in the face of the darkness will still be there. He has a child now, so I’m sure he’s matured.”
Fans of the franchise are probably all wondering what it will look like and hopefully the financing gets sorted out so we can see that happen.
