Fans of the Russo brothers will be excited to hear that the pair are setting their sights on television once more, as talks are in motion for them to produce a series for TBS based on the Valiant comics characters ‘Quantum and Woody.’
Longtime fans of Joe and Anthony Russo remember that their previous television credits include such cult-favorites as ‘Arrested Development’ and ‘Community,’ and to see them bringing their comic-book pedigree (they are the guys responsible for some of the greatest MCU films, after all, having brought us ‘Captain America: The Winter Soldier,’ ‘Captain America: Civil War,’ and ‘Avengers: Infinity War‘) back to the small-screen sounds like a good formula for success.
As for the project itself, ‘Quantum and Woody’ the comic series draws its inspiration (no pun intended) from Woody Harrelson and Wesley Snipes’ characters in the 1992 film ‘White Men Can’t Jump,’ with their story centering around the twist that after a freak lab experiment they have to physically touch every 24 hours or else they will literally die. friends. Brilliant minds. Years later, they are estranged siblings, petty rivals, and washed-
up failures. But when their father’s murder leads them into the throes of a life-altering

folks! Quantum and Woody are coming!
(And, yes, there will be a goat too. Eventually.)
Valiant Comics began publishing the series back in 2013, and talks about this TV series began about a year ago, with rumors of Joel McHale being attached to the project. If McHale is still involved it would reunite him with the Russo Bros whom he previously worked with on ‘Community,’ though at this time it is unclear of McHale’s involvement.
Regardless, it sounds like it could be an interesting series, and with Valiant Comics currently on the rise in the eyes of studios (after Marvel and DC they are arguably the next largest Comics Brand, with over 2,000 characters in their library), this could be a great first foray into the world of Valiant Comics. Plus, with the Russo Bros attached to the project, signs point to it being better than a lot of other television pilots/ series being greenlit at the moment.
