By The Power Of Grayskull!
This week the team at Super7 are doing their best to please fans of the ‘Masters Of The Universe’ license with a number of new retro-styled offerings!
For starters, Super7 has announced new single card releases of their ‘Masters Of The Universe Vintage Collection’! These figures are 5.5″ scale figures based on the classic figure styling and designs from the 80’s, but with newer sculpts and paint schemes to make the characters appear more like they did on the classic animated series! The first four figures coming out are He-Man, Skeletor, She-Rah, and Hordak! These were previously released as limited edition figure 2-packs that quickly sold out, so it’s great to see these figures released for people who missed the first batch! This new run will not be limited and more figures are expected to be announced eventually. Check out the full release from Super7 below!
Super7 is happy to present the Masters of the Universe Vintage 5.5-inch Figures Collection. The original MOTU action figures re-imagined to match the character designs from the animated cartoon!
These new carded Vintage Figures come with their own accessories: He-Man with Power Sword, Half-Sword, and Shield, Skeletor with Havoc Staff, Power Sword, and Half-Sword, She-Ra with Sword of Protection, Shield and Sword, and Hordak with Arm Cannon and Crossbow
The figures all feature a spring loaded mechanism: Turn the waist and they swing back with a punch! The packaging includes a custom character history card with the figure and has new and original art on the back of each card by classic MOTU artist Errol McCarthy.
The pre-sale for the Masters of the Universe 5.5″ Vintage Figures will open on Wednesday, June 20th at 12:00pm PST.
This is not a limited edition release but pre-sales will receive the figures immediately upon arrival from the factory. Figures will be available individually for $20 each or as a set for $80. We expect to ship the 5.5″ Vintage Figures in September 2018.
If those aren’t enough for you, Super7 also announced the all-new Series 4 of their ‘Masters Of The Universe’ ReAction Figures! These figures are done int he style of the classic Kenner ‘Star Wars’ figures rather than the original ‘MOTU’ figures. The new wave is comprised of Scareglow, Orko, Fakor, Ram-Man, Evil-Lyn, and Mekaneck! These are set to release later this summer and can be ordered directly from Super7 here!
The Funko Forecast
Get ready for the Funko Forecast! This is where we’re going to be showcasing all of the cool new announcements and reveals from Funko! With all of the awesome that consistently seems to be flowing out of those guys, it shouldn’t be hard to keep this section alive each and every week!
SDCC Reveals Round One
This week we saw the first wave of San Diego Comic-Con exclusives announced by Funko for SDCC 2018! This first wave may seem small, but carries on one consistent theme; animated! They’re also all POP! Vinyls so far, which is interesting. 
SDCC 2018 exclusives announced this week include POP! Vinyls of The Black Lady (‘Sailor Moon’), Bloody Taarna (‘Heavy Metal’), Super Saiyan Broly (‘Dragon Ball Z’), Dead Yamcha (‘Dragon Ball Z’), and Gold Vegeta (‘Dragon Ball Z’)! No word yet on which (if any) of these will be shared; save for Gold Vegeta and Bloody Taarna who both carry Toy Tokyo stickers and are therefore set to be shared with Toy Tokyo.
“Who?”
While most people are way more familiar with his live-action appearance, there are plenty of ‘Guardians Of The Galaxy’ fans who have loved the comic book version for years! This fall Funko is bringing an all-new Halloween Comics Fest exclusive POP! Vinyl of Starlord in his classic comic book look to your collections! This POP! is going to be available exclusively as a part of Halloween Comics Fest, so it might be a good idea to get your preorders in sooner rather than later! 
“I’m Bit-Man”
This summer Funko is teaming up once again with our friends at Entertainment Earth to bring us an all-new exclusive 8-Bit POP! Vinyl figure! The newest 8-Bit POP! Vinyl to join the line is the classic NES Colors Batman! This figure is available exclusively from Entertainment Earth and is up for preorder now! He is set to ship out this July. 
“Always Two, Never More, Never Less”
This August you can finally check off ‘Darth Vader’ from your Funko Vynl wishlist! The Dark Lord of the Sith is set to be hitting stores later this summer in a 2-pack with an Imperial Storm Trooper.
