Letitia Wright 'Avengers 4

SPOILER ALERT: This article may contain SPOILERS for ‘Avengers 4’ so proceed with caution.

The actors in Marvel movies are incredibly secretive about the events in their movies, as Marvel Studios has a strict no spoiler policy.  Because of how little these performers reveal, some fans have gotten accustomed to really dissecting every little morsel they might happen to drop.  Letitia Wright a.k.a. Black Panther‘s sister Shuri appeared at MCM London Comic Con and when she was asked who she enjoyed working with the most while filming ‘Avengers: Infinity War’, she responded:

“Chris Pratt was genuinely a great person. He would like give me bible scriptures out of nowhere and then do a dance and leave. He’s great. I love Chris Pratt.”

Sounds innocent enough, right?  But as eagle-eyed fans have pointed out, Shuri and Star-Lord never shared a scene in ‘Infinity War’.  But we know that next year’s ‘Avengers 4’ was shot right after ‘Infinity War’ and in some cases, footage was shot for both movies simultaneously to accommodate certain actors’ availability.

So presumably, Wright and Pratt recorded at least one scene together, possibly more.  And that means that even though Star-Lord turned to dust at the end of ‘Infinity War’ like many other Marvel stars, he will return in ‘Avengers 4’.  That kind of feels like an anti-spoiler, since obviously ALL of the dustees will return, but there are some that believe that not all of them will be back.  So at least we know that Star-Lord will be one of the returnees and maybe genius Shuri will play a part in getting the others back.

Wright also discussed online chatter declaring her the latest Disney Princess:

“I was like, ‘what’s this Disney Princess pressure? Do I have to be perfect?’  Then I realized that everyone’s just so geeked about having a different kind of female character in the Marvel universe and the Disney universe. And there’s going to be much, much more – I’m not the only Disney Princess to come to the surface and claim that title.”

“I’m so honored, seriously. I grew up on the Disney movies and grew up with the Disney Princesses and they didn’t really look like me. But now, you can go buy action figures and say ‘this is a Disney Princess’ – right on!”

She also acknowledged the Marvel Comic storyline in which Shuri assumed the role of ‘Black Panther’ and ruled Wakanda in her brother’s place.  Since T’Challa was one of the dustees in ‘Infinity War’, could we see a similar storyline in upcoming films?  “To be comic-book accurate, yes,” Wright declared.

‘Avengers: Infinity War’ is now playing in theaters.  ‘Avengers 4’ opens on May 4, 2019.
