‘Deadpool 2’ is days away from hitting theaters and details about the sequel’s after-credits scenes have inevitably been leaked online.
Obviously, there are spoilers ahead! Read at your own risk!
According to a source, here is what you can expect from two of the movie’s after-credits scenes:
- He kills Weapon XI in front of Wolverine. “Just fixing the timeline.” This is just stock footage from ‘X-Men Origins’ they composited Deadpool into.
- Ryan Reynolds holding the Green Lantern script and commenting on how they “hit the big time.” Deadpool shoots him in the head.
Two of the other scenes contain major spoilers for the plot of the film, so we are going to leave those out! However, a quick internet search can quell your curiosity if you simply can’t wait to see the movie!
Apparently, ‘Deadpool 2’ originally featured a fifth stinger which saw the Merc with the Mouth travel back in time – a recurring theme of these scenes which should be fun to see play out – which saw him kill baby Hitler. It would seem that killing a newborn (even Hitler) was too dark for test screenings, so the scene was removed.
The description of the removed scene reads:
“Deadpool in a newborn ward. Standing next to a crib with a name tag that says ‘A Hilter’. He goes back and forth on doing it. A baby cries and he says, ‘Shut up Ira, you’ll thank me someday!’ Finally he goes for it, then baby Hitler’s POV as Deadpool strangles him.”
That sounds….a little rough, and frankly a slight bit off-brand. You’ll remember that the adaptation of Stephen King’s ‘IT’ also had a scene in which a baby was killed removed. Good to know we still have limits, people.
Don’t miss ‘Deadpool 2’ when it hits theaters on May 18!
