Wolverine: The Long Night

Anyone who has been eagerly awaiting the release of ‘Wolverine: The Long Night’ finally has a reason to rejoice as the first two episodes are now available! Marvel and Sticher just put the freshmen and sophomore installments out through Stitcher Premium.

The entire story will be told in 10-chapters and are going to be released weekly from here on out. For those without premium access, you’ll need to wait until Fall with the rest of us when the series will become available on other podcast platforms.

According to one of the producers, Ben Percy:

“This is a story about deception, unreliability, identity, atonement, and man in the wild and the wild in man. Every character has a secret. Every scene has a question mark at the end of it. And I can’t wait for you to hear the phenomenal actors who have brought the story to life — and the next-level sound design that make this audio drama like nothing you’ve ever heard. SNIKT!”

Also helping bring the series together are Brendan Baker (Love & Radio) and sound designer Chloe Prasinos (Reply All). For Stitcher, Jenny Radelet is producing while Daniel Fink is covering Marvel’s end of the series.

Baker added in that:

“It’s been an honor to work with Marvel, Stitcher, and our entire cast and production crew to bring Wolverine’s story into audio. I’m so proud of what we’ve made together, and can’t wait to finally share it—with Marvel fans and podcast fans alike. So put on a nice pair of headphones, close your eyes, and experience this Marvel story where you create the pictures in your mind.”

Finally, we hear from vice president, head of platforms and content for Marvel New Media Dan Silver on the series who states:

“We are excited to officially launch Wolverine: The Long Night and bring a truly unique storytelling experience to our fans. We are thrilled with the enthusiasm for this project from our fans and the podcast community, and look forward to exploring the medium in the future.”

I, for one, am thrilled about hearing the full series as the teasers have sounded amazing. Now, it is time to wait for Fall to give us a wide release of the series.
