Outside of “Star Wars” we know that Mark Hamill has also been a part of the animated DC universe so it in a surprisingly fun twist it looks like he might be joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Not a stretch with The Walt Disney Company owning both Marvel Studios and Lucasfilm these days, but still a present surprise. The role, likely a cameo, came up from a casual conversation between Hamill and director James Gunn on Twitter of all places!
It all came from a fan asking Gunn to include Hamill in ‘Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 3,’ and Gunn stated that he’d be open to the possibility.

Technology almost got in the way. Thankfully, they were able to overcome the problem! Great news for all of us, the only downside is that now we can no longer be flies on the wall to hear what is going on.

Knowing Gunn’s penchant for including fun cameos and Hamill not seeming to mind having a walk-on role this would likely just be a background alien with one or two one-liners. But just imagine if they included him in a role that he could continue playing in upcoming movies.
