When there’s something strange in your neighborhood, you should almost definitely be on the phone with our friends at Diamond Select Toys who have scared up a number of fantastic new ‘Ghostbusters’ items that were on display at New York Toy Fair 2018! Whether you’re a fan of the original films or the animated series ‘The Real Ghostbusters’ that followed soon after, these new items are sure to put a scare into your wallet when you see them!

On display at New York Toy Fair 2018, Diamond Select Toys was showing off Series seven through 10 of their 7″ scale ‘Ghostbusters Select’ line! These figures are a mix of characters from both the ‘Ghostbusters 2’ live action film (series seven and eight) and ‘The Real Ghostbusters’ animated series (series nine and ten) with all of them being required purchases if you want to complete the amazing collect-and-connect Firehouse Diorama seen in the images below!

Series seven will consist of ‘Slimeblower’ Winston, “We’re Back” Grey-Jumpsuit Egon, and Janosz! It’s worth noting that Janosz will be available exclusively at comic book and specialty stores, and not at mass market retailers like Toys R Us. Janosz includes a lenticular painting of Vigo (who can fade in  and out of the painting), a Baby Oscar mini figure, and a special set of ‘open’ hands that are actually for the series six Vigo figure to be able to hold Baby Oscar!

Series eight will round out the ‘Ghostbusters 2’ set with ‘Slimeblower’ Ray (who includes a ‘possessed’ alternative head), and “We’re Back” Grey-Jumpsuit versions of Peter and Winston! It’s worth nothing that all Ghostbusters in series seven and eight include both gloved and ungloved hands, as well as proton streams (or slime effect if they have a slimeblower) and ghost traps (the lack of ghost traps with every figure except Winston was a common complaint about earlier waves! DST hears you guys!).

Finally, series nine and ten are comprised of characters from ‘The Real Ghostbusters’ animated series! Each wave includes two Ghostbusters and one ghost figure! Series nine includes Egon, Winston, and Slimer, while series ten has Peter, Ray, and a scaled down articulated figure of the Staypuft Marshmallow Man! These figures feature a ton of new tooling, and are largely completely new figures overall!

Sadly for the Ghostheads out there, these figures are currently being viewed as the remainder of the series as they complete the Firehouse diorama, so if this spooktacular toyline will continue after this release is a story only time can tell! Who would you want to see join the line in an eleventh series? We’re hoping for animated Janine and Sam Hain! Let us know who you want to see in the comments below! Stay tuned to ScienceFiction.com for all the latest ‘Ghostbusters’ news from New York Toy Fair 2018!
