Jessica Jones season 2

It may take a little more than anger management classes to help Jessica Jones. If you haven’t binge watched Season 1 of Netflix’s Marvel series ‘Jessica Jones,’ there’s still time to catch up. And if you need a refresher course, the latest trailer for the series sums up what the reluctant Defender went through that brought her to the classes and intermixes what we can expect when the series returns next month!

Jessica’s past continues to haunt her as she tries to live life after her ordeal with Kilgrave, and now that her secret of having superpowers is out in the open, her life has become that more complicated. As Jessica says, “I didn’t ask for this. I’m just trying to make a G—dam living.” Now, however, those she cares about are in danger and Jessica must confront her demons head-on. That means digging into her past and coming to terms with who and what she really is – and possibly getting a sidekick to boot!

The trailer reminds us what made us love ‘Jessica Jones’ in the first place. Even as flawed as she is, ‘Jessica Jones’ reminds us that redemption can be had even when you don’t think you deserve it. From her snarky attitude and one-liners to her sublime vulnerability, the series looks to bring the same entertainment we saw in Season 1.

While we’re on the subject of bringing the same entertainment back, it looks like Jessica may not be quite free of her purple tormentor just yet. Returning from his standout performance from Season 1, David Tennant will be reprising his role as Kilgrave who will continue to wreak havoc on Jessica’s mind. As showrunner Melissa Rosenberg says, “The beauty of the Marvel world is never say die. David brings so many levels to everything he does and every take is different. It’s just delicious watching him in this role.”

We’ll be reviewing Season 2 of ‘Jessica Jones’ when it drops on Netflix, so in the meantime, check out the trailer below!
