We’re not sure as to the release date yet but Netflix is set to bring us a new supernatural series titled ‘The Innocents’! Not only that, but they’ve released a very vague teaser video to hint at what the show will be about. It’s a story of star-crossed lovers with a slew of supernatural elements. The series was written by Hania Elkington (‘The North London Book of the Dead’) and Simon Duric (‘The Crown’,’Black Mirror‘) and stars Guy Pearce (‘Memento’) in a central role. The leading two teens in love are Percelle Ascott’s Harry and Sorcha Groundsell’s June.

What we do know about the show comes from the brief synopsis which describes it as:

June embarks on a journey with her boyfriend, Harry, to run away from their lives and start over. Or so they think. They quickly realize that nothing is what it seems. And in this world, the only way to survive is to change.

We’ll need to wait for an official trailer to see if this will be something worth watching or not. This teaser lives up to its name as it doesn’t include any actual footage for us even to try to form an opinion from. It does have some great talent behind the creation of the series and stars Guy Pearce, so this may very well be one to look forward to. Knowing Netflix, we’ll likely see a full trailer or some promotional stills closer to the full release.
