It looks as if you’ll be able to celebrate the third annual Alien Day in style as just two days before the event, there will be a new novel coming out titled ‘Alien: The Cold Forge’! April 24th, 2018, marks the date you can check out the latest novel by Alex White and Titan Books clearly has a winner on its hand here.

According to the synopsis:

With the failure of the Hadley’s Hope, Weyland-Yutani has suffered a devastating defeat–the loss of the Aliens. Yet there’s a reason the company rose to the top, and they have a redundancy already in place. Remote station RB-323 abruptly becomes their greatest hope for weaponizing the Xenomorph, but there’s a spy aboard–someone who doesn’t necessarily act in the company’s best interests. If discovered, this person may have no choice but to destroy RB-323… and everyone on board. That is, if the Xenomorphs don’t do the job first.

Hadley’s Hope was the research and mining colony which first appeared in ‘Aliens’ and later in ‘Aliens: Colonial Marines’ and has a long history in the franchise from books, to comics, to film, and video games.

Alex himself was obviously very excited to share the news of this release:

Clearly, humanity hasn’t given up on using the Xenomorphs as weapon in this novel. At least, the Weyland-Yutani Corporation hasn’t. It’ll be interesting to see how having a spy around will hinder the research and if this is what triggers the release of one of these aliens.

Are you looking forward to reading ‘Alien: The Cold Forge’ when it comes out? Will you have it all finished up by the start of 2018’s Alien Day on April 26th, 2018? Share your thoughts below!
