Barry Allen (AKA the Flash) is fired from the Justice League in the brand new trailer for ‘LEGO DC Super Heroes: The Flash.’
We are currently getting to know two incarnations of the fastest superhero around, one from the small screen with Grant Gustin and separate one from Ezra Miller’s movie version of the Flash. It’s time to make room for a third version, and he appears to be just as fun as the other two! One main advantage to this Flash, though, he officially is in the Justice League, until, suddenly, he isn’t.
Released on Warner Bros. Home Entertainment’s official YouTube account, this new trailer gives us a sneak peek at the upcoming animated film from Warner Bros. Animation, DC Entertainment and The LEGO Group. Though it is just about two minutes long, the clip is full of visuals and context of the upcoming film.
The clip features a slip-up from the fastest man on Earth, particularly oversleeping and missing the trouble alert, and he is unceremoniously booted from the squad. His firing may have had something to do with his arch-nemesis, Reverse Flash.
Aside from the usual characters, ‘LEGO DC Super Heroes: The Flash’ also features some brand new characters that are making the jump from the comics books to the franchise. This includes The Atom; B’dg, a squirrel-esque Green Lantern; a pair of legendary super pets in Ace the Bat-Hound and Krypto the Super-Dog, Batman and Superman’s faithful canine pals; as well as Aquaman’s trusted seahorse, Storm.
Based on the trailer, this movie will continue the fun but very self-aware approach of Warner Bros. on their animated superhero series. Flash fans won’t want to miss it, considering that it might take a little bit of time before we see Miller’s solo ‘Flashpoint’ movie with a slew of other DC Films’ properties already on the company’s lineup.
