In five short days, fans will say their final farewell to Peter Capaldi’s Twelfth Doctor. While the emotional goodbyes can be saved for Christmas Day, this heartfelt compilation of messages from fans from all over the world already has us dreading for the end of Capaldi’s story. Oh, and William Shatner is here to deliver a message as well, for some reason!
BBC America has released this collection of fan art, and in one instance, a fan puppet, and messages from fans thanking Capaldi for his time on the show. Fans praise him as both as an excellent Doctor and as a tireless ambassador for why ‘Doctor Who’ touches the hearts of so many people.
Even Shatner is full of praise and well wishes for the Twelfth Doctor. Whether you’re just an everyday fan of the long running series, or you have your own to-scale model TARDIS in your basement (totally not weird), one thing rings true; December 25th is going to be emotional for all Whovians.

The magical final chapter of the Twelfth Doctor’s (Peter Capaldi) journey sees the Time Lord
team up with his former self, the first ever Doctor (David Bradley – ‘Harry Potter,’ ‘Game of Thrones’)
and a returning Bill Potts (Pearl Mackie), for one last adventure. Two Doctors stranded in an
Arctic snowscape, refusing to face regeneration. Enchanted glass people, stealing their victims
from frozen time. And a World War One captain destined to die on the battlefield, but taken
from the trenches to play his part in the Doctor’s story. An uplifting new tale about the power
of hope in humanity’s darkest hours, ‘Twice Upon A Time’ marks the end of an era. But as the
Doctor must face his past to decide his future, his journey is only just beginning.
