Daisy Ridley has plenty of practice when it comes to keeping tight-lipped to avoid spoiling any details about the upcoming ‘Star Wars: The Last Jedi.’ During a recent interview, however, Ridley discussed her relationship with one specific co-star, and potentially revealed hints about the film’s finale.

During the interview, the late Carrie Fisher was brought up, and the impact the actress had on Ridley, with Ridley going on to discuss one of the last scenes she filmed with the ‘Star Wars’ icon. Ridley said:

“The last thing Carrie and I filmed together was emotional for a variety of reasons. It’s the end of the film, and all of this crazy stuff has happened. There’s this moment that we share, and thinking about it now, I realize that it’s going to be really hard to watch. Because it will seem like a goodbye, even though it wasn’t at the time. You know, she and I went through a similar thing at different times [as ‘Star Wars’ heroes]. She had the most insane life.”

While Ridley did not give details regarding what the pair had gone through or what’s next for the characters, the confirmation that they appear together towards the end of the film not only confirms a reunion between the characters, but that the scene isn’t a “goodbye.”

These hints could sum up an ending similar to ‘The Force Awakens’ where, after all of the battles have been fought, the heroes come together and take stock of what happened.

Ever since the announcement of Fisher’s sudden and tragic passing, fans have wondered what that will mean for not just ‘The Last Jedi,’ but for future installments. ‘The Last Jedi’ director Rian Johnson confirmed that all of Leia’s scenes had been shot and there weren’t any sequences that needed to be re-edited to alter her story going forward.

Fans will get to see the film’s final scenes when ‘The Last Jedi’ finally hits theaters on December 15.
