If you’re a gamer that has been dying to explore more of the world of ‘The X-Files‘ than you’ll be eager to check out ‘X-Files: Deep State’! The game itself is set to take place during the spring of 2010, or, between Season 9 and Season 10 of the television series that we all love. Not only will it help expand some of the missing time from the series, but it is also being released to help celebrate the 25th anniversary of the show!
The game is brought to us by 21st Century Fox’s FoxNext Games as well as the Creative Mobile gaming studio. In the game, you will “assume the role of a FBI Special Agent” and be “investigating mysterious crime scenes that defy explanation.”
With it being a bit in the past, we’re still full up on both the alien invasion preparing to happen as well as a slew of government conspiracies to work through. It wouldn’t be ‘The X-Files’ without some monster of the week episodes and this will have some of those as well! New episodes are set to be released monthly, specifically “new cases to solve on a monthly basis, with myth-arc and monsters of the week.”

This is being released with casual gamers in mind and will be available on Android, iOS, and as a Facebook game. It’ll be free to play, though of course they have in-app purchases to both make it easier and make some money off our love of finding the truth.
Much like the Telltale games, you will be able to “make moral decisions that impact the storyline.”
This, sounds like a fun piece of work.
