Years prior to Gal Gadot rocking it as ‘Wonder Woman‘ on the big screen in the DCEU there was a pilot for a television series starring Adrianne Palicki that was never ordered to series. While I can’t imagine anyone but Gadot in the role, I also love Palicki’s work as Bobbi Morse on Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.’ where she has shown that she could have had the chops to acting and action chops to easily tackle it.

But how does she feel as to how things turned out? Here’s what she said in an interview with THR:

“I was devastated when the pilot didn’t go. But I also look at it, like, I got paid to wear that costume. And that is one of the coolest moments of my life running down Hollywood Boulevard. Like, that was so cool. And I was — how lucky am I. And you know, everything for a reason. It led me here. You know what I mean? So as dark as those moments were back in the day, I’m happy and so glad that somebody else gets to wear that costume. I’m so glad that [Gal Gadot is] rocking it.”

She clearly enjoyed it and wishes there had been more but also seems to enjoy Gadot’s performance. In 2011 though I don’t think the world was ready for a ‘Wonder Woman’ television series. Not because of a strong female lead but because studios had no idea as to what viewers actually wanted to watch when it came to superheroes. These days, that mindset is obviously fading and a well-produced series would be raking in the ratings for years to come.

I am glad things worked out how they did, even if they haven’t figured out a way to bring Mockingbird back to ‘Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.’ yet or into the Marvel Cinematic Universe, she did an amazing job there and is doing just as great of one on ‘The Orville’.

Are you sad that Palicki didn’t end up as Wonder Woman or are you happy as to how things have played out? Do you think we’ll get to see the actress play another superhero or revise her role as Mockingbird in the future? Share your thoughts below!
