As Ron Perlman isn’t involved in the ‘Hellboy‘ reboot, it should be no surprise that he doesn’t want to talk about it. It is no secret that he was willing to work with Guillermo del Toro in a third film to endcap their trilogy so not wanting to comment on the David Harbour isn’t a stretch. The actor who we all love recently did a Reddit Ask Me Anything and while he was willing to talk about ‘Sons of Anarchy’ and ‘Pacific Rim’ there was no interest in commenting on his time as Big Red.

Here was the question which he was asked:

As to Perlman’s response? It really sounds like he isn’t too interested:

To be entirely fair, Perlman had initially said that he wasn’t interested in reprising the character with the shape he had to be in, combined with the makeup time involved. He was willing to give Del Toro’s trilogy an endcap but never seemed overly excited even when he was pushing for it. As the actor isn’t involved in the reboot, it is hard to see how much he would really have to say with likely only having access to the same information and visuals that we do. I’m really not at all surprised that he isn’t wanting to talk about a reboot of one of his most iconic roles. Not only does he not know how it will turn out as of yet, but unless they sneak in a glorified cameo without any of us knowing about it, he just isn’t involved in the film’s production.

Do you wish Perlman could have had one last go as Hellboy? Are you happy that he isn’t talking about a reboot which he isn’t involved in? Share your thoughts below!
