Three brand new images from the newest film in the ‘Star War’s franchise, ‘Star Wars: The Last Jedi’ have surfaced online, one of which provides fans with yet another glimpse of the villainous Supreme Leader Snoke, looking a little worse for wear.
Another still from the release features Finn (John Boyega) and Rose (Kelly Marie Tran) locked in a stare-down in the casino city of Canto Blight. In addition, fans have been given a new image of Mark Hamill as Luke Skywalker.
With his disfigured appearance, Snoke continues to pay homage to other Star Wars villains, especially Emperor Palpatine. Theories surrounding the identity of the mysterious leader have been flying around the internet, with some hypothesizing he could be someone that ‘Star Wars” fans have met before. With not many details to go on so far, the hope has been that ‘The Last Jedi’ will give fans the information regarding his full history and possible connection to the franchise. While we now know that The Last Jedi allegedly won’t reveal too much about Snoke’s backstory, we could see the character become more humanized in the upcoming film.
Of course, all of the promotional photos in the galaxy can’t fill the void of a full trailer for the new film. While ‘The Last Jedi’ teaser and behind-the-scenes clip offer many sneak peaks into the new movie, fans still eagerly await the arrival of a full-length trailer. One could say that a full-length trailer for the film is our…’New Hope.’
‘Star Wars: The Last Jedi’ will premiere on December 14 in the U.K. and December 15 in the States. Fans can expect to see returning cast members joined by new additions Jimmy Vee (Pan) as R2-D2, Kelly Marie Tran (Ladies Like Us) as Rose, and Benicio Del Toro (Guardians of the Galaxy) and Laura Dern (Jurassic Park).
