Lockjaw & Medusa

While there have been a few official glimpses so far, the majority of sneak peeks from ‘Inhumans’ has come to us thanks to various leaks. In particular, we’ve seen a number of set pictures depicting Anson Mount and Serida Swan as the Inhuman king Black Bolt and Queen Medusa, as well as various other members of the Inhuman Royal Family. Although due to the extensive CGI required to bring him to life, True Believers have yet to see the massively adorable teleporting “dog” named Lockjaw in any of these leaked images. But now we finally have our first look at arguably the most beloved member of this family.

Twitter user @AreYouInhuman recently uncovered an incredibly brief clip featuring the king and his canine companion in all of their Marvel Cinematic Universe glory. Not only do we see that Lockjaw’s appearance has largely remained faithful to his comic book counterpart (minus a prominently protruding symbol on his forehead), but we also see his teleportation powers in action as he and Black Bolt appear in the middle of some traffic. You can see the clip below, followed by the official synopsis of the upcoming ABC series:

Marvel’s ‘Inhumans’ explores the never-before-told epic adventure of the royal family including Black Bolt, the enigmatic, commanding King of the Inhumans, with a voice so powerful that the slightest whisper can destroy a city. After the Royal Family of Inhumans is splintered by a military coup, they barely escape to Hawaii where their surprising interactions with the lush world and humanity around them may prove to not only save them but Earth itself.

Based on the CGI seen on ‘Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.’, some fans have had some reservations about Lockjaw coming to life in ‘Inhumans’. However, Marvel and ABC’s partnership with IMAX seems to be paying dividends as it appears that some feature film-level cash went into the making of this show. Let’s just hope that this quality is carried on through the show since a good amount of the Royal Family’s powers could look pretty campy if they not presented properly, most notably Medusa’s hair.

What do you think about this first look at Lockjaw from ‘Inhumans’? How do you feel about the way his teleportation powers are depicted on the show? Are you excited to see more of the mighty massive mutt? Let us know in the comments.

‘Inhumans’ starring Anson Mount, Iwan Rheon, Serinda Swan, Ken Leung, Isabelle Cornish, Eme Ikwuakor, Mike Moh, and Sonya Balmores premieres in IMAX theaters on September 1, 2017, before debuting on ABC on September 22, 2017.
