game-of-thrones

‘Game of Thrones’ is hurtling back to our TV screens very soon, and fan excitement is about as close to as high as it’s ever been.  After six seasons of intrigue, action, and death – so, so much death – the impending seventh season will be going “off-book” as show writers are taking plot points into their own hands, now that the TV show has surpassed the point of where novelist George R.R. Martin has left things in the book series.

Also, sadly, the end of the show is near, as HBO has announced that the shortened seventh and eighth seasons will be the end of the ‘Game of Thrones’ televised ride.  To help keep our minds off how much of a bummer that fact truly is, HBO has unleashed a slew of new images from the upcoming season.  Some of these are behind-the-scenes style looks, and some appear to be stills taken directly from post-production work.  They come to us courtesy of a new feature on the show in Entertainment Weekly magazine.

Get a good look at the images below – you can click on any of them to enlarge ’em.

The seventh season of ‘Game of Thrones’ will premiere on Sunday, July 16, 2017, on HBO.
