Wow! I must say, I was a little skeptical at first having only seen bits and pieces, read most of the information online. After seeing this, I am VERY intrigued. It looks REALLY good. Liked the various new aliens on the bridge. That will be interesting to learn about each of them throughout the series. Lots of story arcs. Heck, even the ship looked badass after seeing it action. But I’ll hold off on final judgement ’til I’ve seen the first few episodes.

  • James Frain is playing Sarek. And it looks like Sarek is either a tutor or mentor to the younger Michael Burnham. But Sarek was ambassador to Earth at this time. So why is he teaching children?

I’m a bit disappointed. This all feels like the Kelvin timeline. And knowing Les Moonvies or however you spell his names. He has little love for Star Trek or any sci-fi which adds to my worries when you look at how they are designing the Klingons. Very troubled right now. Will wait to see how it turns out.

Of course I’ll watch it because I’m a certified Trekkie. However, I am so very, very sick and tired of “prequels.” This may very well be an awesome series but, PLEASE, can we move past this time period.

My reaction is….meh. Looks like the same old same old. Aren’t there any other interesting aliens than Klingons and Vulcans? Can’t we go to the 25th century for awhile?
