With filming of Marvel’s ‘Inhumans‘ for ABC well underway, we all felt that casting news would be over for the series though just have learned that they’ve tapped Chad James Buchanan (‘Star’,’Is That a Gun in Your Pocket?’) to join the show! This eight-episode run will debut the first two in an exclusive IMAX premiere as that is how they’ll be shooting it which will be a special treat for Marvel fans. The studio didn’t make the reveal, but the news came from Buchanan himself in a tweet which has now vanished.
As we all know, Marvel never likes to have this kind of information come out early.
As the Royal Family has all been covered so far in casting news, it sounds like he’ll most likely be a human that is working with or against the Royals. As they have come to Hawaii to escape Black Bolt’s brother’s treacherous plot to take over the Inhuman population we might see Buchanan in a role such as a police officer or as part of the military organization that was tasked with tracking them down. As Ellen Woglom’s character is stated to work in such an organization and helps them out, we could see Buchanan helping push towards capturing them all.
Lastly, there is a chance that he could be one of the NuHumans who went through Terrigenesis without being chosen as many had recently.
It is unlikely that he would be an S.H.I.E.L.D. agent as the showrunners have stated that a crossover doesn’t appear likely.
