transformers the last knight 2

“The ultimate destruction of everything we know and love begins…”

Paramount has released a new ‘Transformers: The Last Knight’ trailer which actually does some justice for the film. Granted, it is another Michael Bay directed movie (if you couldn’t tell from the signature explosions and mayhem he is known for) but this time around, the trailer has brought more of the story to the forefront with hints of the Transformers’ secret origins and why they continually come to Earth (I mean, after 4 movies, they still persist) to cause destruction.

Maybe it’s the intrigue of the mythology of the Transformers that will be explored in this film. Maybe it’s because I’m infatuated with the Medieval era and the whole lore of King Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table. Maybe it’s because this could be (dare we hope?) the last foray of Michael Bay as a director in this franchise. Whatever the case, I’m fascinated by what I see in this trailer enough to be compelled to watch the film. Well, at least move it up a few ticks and not be at the bottom of the list.

Anyway, check out the ‘Transformers: The Last Knight’ trailer below. Does it offer you hope this is not just another ‘Transformers’ film and will bring something new into the mix? Let us know what you think

‘Transformers: The Last Knight’ stars Mark Wahlberg, Josh Duhamel, Anthony Hopkins, Laura Haddock, Jerrod Carmichael, Isabela Moner and Santiago Cabrera and will descend in theaters on June 23.
