game-of-thrones

We know that “Winter Is Coming” and with it the end of HBO’s ‘Game of Thrones‘ though apparently, the showrunners haven’t let the actors know how things come to a close. With only 13 episodes left between the final two seasons, the finale is still a mystery to all involved. With seven episodes this season and six in the final there isn’t all that much time left to wrap up so many ongoing story arcs though I’m sure we can all guess that there will be a lot of death involved to pull that off. We’ve got a giant war for Westeros involving dragons the size of 747s which will likely help things out there.

While Kit Harington was talking about the new series ‘Brimstone,’ which he is a part of, it is no surprise that ‘Game of Thrones’ came up:

“It’s just amazing, in some ways, having no book to go on, because the scripts come through and you’re completely in the dark about what they’re going to do. Believe me, I just finished Season Seven, and I am already counting down the days until I get the Season Eight scripts.

Everyone’s been wondering how it’s going to end, and what’s going to happen right from the get-go, and theorizing about it. It’s really exciting to me not knowing, genuinely having no idea where it’s going to end, what they’ve got in their heads, and being the first to find out.”

The entire quote makes me want to say:

It sounds like we’ll see him living through the seventh season at the very least unless he is once again messing with fans. My money is still on a Jon Snow and Daenerys Targaryen union to pledge the two armies against the White Walkers, but it isn’t as if George R.R. Martin has been keen on giving traditional happy endings to anyone at this point.

Are you looking forward to the final two seasons of ‘Game of Thrones’? How do you think everything will pan out in the end? Will showrunners D.B. Weiss and David Benioff part ways with Martin’s novel ending and take the series into a different direction? Share your thoughts below!

The seventh season of ‘Game of Thrones’ is coming to HBO on July 16th, 2017!
