One of the standout scenes from ‘Rogue One: A Star Wars Story‘ was clearly when Darth Vader let loose at the end of the film, and now LucasFilm was kind enough to release the clip online. As much as the nods to the prequel trilogy and the introduction of new characters all had memorable moments – this was the first time we’ve been able to see Darth Vader cut loose on the big screen. It was previously only hinted at in books or slightly shown in animation such as within ‘Star Wars Rebels.’

Behold, the power of the Dark Side!

I honestly just had to watch it again twice before typing anything else with how impressive Vader is here. This is the villain that has the Rebels trembling in the prequel trilogy. This is what we’ve heard tell of but haven’t been able to see until now, and it is amazingly impressive.

This scene is important for many reasons. Aside from the fact that it is the coolest representation of Vader on the big screen, it also completely changes the meaning of the introduction to ‘Star Wars: Episode IV A New Hope.’ Now, the rebels aren’t just lying through their teeth. Vader was hot on their heels as they left with the plans for the Death Star.

They know that he knows. This isn’t bluffing this is true bravery and a chance at Leia’s political status to get them out of certain death.

How many times do you plan on watching this scene now that it’s online? Are you going to be picking up a copy of ‘Rogue One: A Star Wars Story? Let us know in the comments below!

‘Rogue One: A Star Wars Story’ will be available in a galaxy far far away, or in your home, on April 4th, 2017!
