Logan

After hearing that ‘Logan‘ wouldn’t have an end credit scene it was rumored that one was snuck in. Sadly, director James Mangold is swearing that this is one rumor that isn’t true after all. So, fellow fans who were hoping that there would be a setup for X-23’s future adventures here are going to be as disappointed as I am. An after credit scene seemed like the perfect place to lay the groundwork for Laura traveling back in time or meeting Cable that just isn’t going to be happening quite yet.

Much to our dismay, here is Mangold confirming it on Twitter:

The original report had come from Collider’s Steve Weintraub who has later gone on to apologize that his sources were wrong but did say that there might still be a scene that was “cool for the fans” though might be shown in the introduction instead of at the end. No confirmation as to what these few extra scenes of material could be at this time.

Unless Mangold is trolling us by using “post-credits” while in all actuality giving us a mid-credits scene which seems unlikely, the film will be standing on its own with no setup for the future of X-23.

Disappointing but as this is Wolverine’s final movie and the focus is on him, it isn’t too surprising.

Are you sad to hear that we won’t be given a little bonus at the end of ‘Logan’ or are you happy that they’ll be ending Hugh Jackman’s final outing as Wolverine without a look towards the future? Share your thoughts below True Believers!

Directed by James Mangold, ‘Logan’ stars Hugh Jackman, Patrick Stewart, Richard E. Grant, Boyd Holbrook, Stephen Merchant, and Dafne Keen and claws its way into theaters on March 3, 2017.
