After the year that we’ve had, it’s a pretty safe bet that people can’t wait for 2017 to get here. Luckily, it’s just around the corner and so are the major blockbusters set to come out next year. Among them is the highly controversial live-action adaptation of ‘Ghost in the Shell‘ starring Scarlett Johansson. And though we’re not likely to get any huge revelations or another epic trailer before the New Year, Paramount has released a brand new international trailer to remind everyone that the film is quickly approaching.

Released on the studio’s Japanese YouTube channel, the latest preview for Rupert Sanders’ upcoming movie basically recuts the first trailer into an even more condensed video for that person who just doesn’t have that extra minute to watch the whole thing. Although, there are a few new shots here and there, this sneak peek is mostly more of what we’ve seen already from the ongoing promotional campaign so far. So if you’re down to see a couple of new angles of the Major, feel free to press play on the brief video below, which is followed by the film’s official synopsis:

Based on the internationally-acclaimed sci-fi property, ‘Ghost In The Shell’ follows the Major, a special ops, one-of-a-kind human-cyborg hybrid, who leads the elite task force Section 9. Devoted to stopping the most dangerous criminals and extremists, Section 9 is faced with an enemy whose singular goal is to wipe out Hanka Robotic’s advancements in cyber technology.

‘Ghost in the Shell’ starring Scarlett Johansson, Pilou Asbaek, Michael Pitt, Takeshi Kitano, Juliette Binoche, Kaori Momoi, Danusia Samal, Yutaka Izumihara, Tuwanda Manyimo, and Chin Han hits theaters on March 31, 2017.
