We’re the one weekly column right here on ScienceFiction.com where we seek out all of the awesome news you need to know about any announcements and cool happenings in the toy industry and put them all in one easy to find place for you! Fall weather means the perfect time of year to hit your favorite toy stores and comic shops! If you’re actually reading this, that means that some congratulations are in order! You’ve managed to survive another Black Friday, and are now able to join the rest of us in the official holiday season! News is in short supply this week, but thankfully as always the few things that are going on are pretty damn awesome so you’re still in for a treat with the Toy News for the week of November 29th, 2016!
DC Collectibles Sets Sights On Springtime
Our good friends over at DC Collectibles have released some of their planned releases for next February, and if you’re a Wonder Woman fan you are in for a treat! They’ve got not just one, but two brand new massive Wonder Woman statues coming our way, as well as a new Nightwing piece that is sure to be a crowd pleaser. Wonder Woman is the latest character to join the ‘Gotham City Garage’ line, which is a motorcycle themed line of statues featuring your favorite heroes redesigned with a biker motif. You can also find Wonder Woman in the form of the new ‘Wonder Woman: Art Of War’ statue, which is based on her look during the storyline of the same name. As we mentioned before, we’re getting a new Nightwing piece as well in the form of the first ever ‘Batman: Black & White’ Nightwing statue! Awaken Mother Of Dragons!
Fans have been wondering for months who the next figure we might be seeing from ThreeZero’s 1:6th scale ‘Game Of Thrones’ line was, and now we finally have our answer! While details on the figure are practically nonexistent, ThreeZero recently revealed the first image of their new 1:6th scale Daenerys Targaryen figure! We try to stay opinionated with the news, but wow does that figure look nice! Hopefully we get some more information from ThreeZero regarding the release date and cost of this already highly anticipated figure!
The Funko Forecast
Get ready for the Funko Forecast! This is where we’re going to be showcasing all of the cool new announcements and reveals from Funko! With all of the awesome that consistently seems to be flowing out of those guys, it shouldn’t be hard to keep this section alive each and every week!
The Empire Is Guarding Walgreens
Once again, Funko is giving us yet another fantastic new Walgreens Exclusive POP! vinyl figure to pine after! This time around it’s the new Imperial Shadow Guard! This figure is supposed to be hitting stores this week and will be available exclusively at Walgreens.
It’s Morphin Time!
When Funko announced a few months back that they would be releasing POP! Vinyls of the Black, Blue, Yellow, and Green Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, fans were both relieved and incredibly upset. While the relief makes sense, why would anyone be upset you ask? Because the original Red, White, and Pink Ranger POP! Vinyls released way back in 2012, and have skyrocketed into triple digit values on the secondary market since then. Funko has finally come up with an answer to please everyone, by release new ‘action pose’ versions of the Red, White, and Pink Rangers! This way everyone can complete their set of Rangers, while the people who picked up the original run figures can still retain their collector value!
